Quechua and Indigenous languages at the United Nations

On September 13, 2016 the United Nations celebrated the 9th anniversary of the  UN Declarations of the Rights of the Indigenous Peoples.

A panels of experts were invited to discuss about the contributions of indigenous groups in urban societies: Américo Mendoza-Mori  (Quechua faculty from the University of Pennsylvania), Chandra-Roy Henriksen (Chief of the Secretariat of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues), and Reaghan Tarbell, documentary film maker and director.


El 13 de setiembre de 2016, la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) celebró el 9no. aniversario de la Declaración de los Derechos de los Pueblos Indigenas.

Un panel de expertos fue invitado para discutir acerca de las contribuciones de los pueblos indígenas en la sociedades urbanas. Américo Mendoza-Mori  (profesor de Quechua en la Universidad de Pensilvania), Chandra-Roy Henriksen (Directora de la Secretaría de la ONU en temas indígenas) y Reaghan Tarbell (cineasta).
